Term #12 - RHYME





definition
in poem, rhyme is the similar sounds of two or more words, usually at the end of each line. compare to rhythm , rhyme also have to read aloud so that we can understand the hidden music under each words.
example
    One, two, Buckle my shoe. Three, four, Shut the door.They know the days of the month by memorizing: Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November.... They even pick up bits of history by remembering such simple rhymes as: Columbus sailed the ocean blue In fourteen-hundred-ninety-two

significance
whenever thinking of poem, the first thing is about rhyme. poems are not just only for an instant reading, with rhyme, the poems are catchy, more momerable. the readers can memorize the poem and think about the meaning of it deeper because it stays in their mind in a long time.
